As a result of this Beyond Apprentice session, the one thing that became clear to me about the value and importance of team vision is:

 

      Collective body of knowledge is better than individual knowledge

      The ability to agree on concepts & direction

      Everyone has importance in providing an end product

      All aspects of production have to communicate with each other to be successful

      Cooperation and collaboration

      Team building

·         All project team members being on same page with regards to the end goal – being able for team to focus to get to goal

·         Listening to new ideas

·         Central values and goals

·         Working together respecting all opinions

·         It takes all to participate and carry a project

·         Being on the same page with a diverse group

·         Once everyone is on the same page, it is easily accomplished.  But everyone must buy into the idea

·         Respect for all members of the team and how important each person is to fulfill a vision

·         Matching skill to function

·         It took all associates to complete the task

·         Working together, listening to all ideas and pulling together as a team

·         You can’t get there without a team

·         Listening to others; being open to everyone’s ideas; as a team everything pulls together easier and more complete

·         Working together to bring together a concept

·         To first decide on an overall goal & vision & fill in tactical steps last

·         Everyone has something to contribute

·         Buy in of the concept

·         Everyone has input

·         Keeps the team focused on the task @ hand

·         How well the “group dynamic” works

·         Respecting the individuals you work with and allow everyone the opportunity to participate in the task

·         Dividing up tasks makes a team more efficient

·         Working together as a team and also choosing a team leader to ensure we are completing the goals

·         You must get a vision established quickly

·         Have to be open to ideas and look for best idea, not necessarily your idea

·         Listening is everything

·         Leadership to convey group structure and vision is essential

·         Slotting people according to their primary skill

·         It was clear to me how necessary it is to get everyone’s input and work together

·         The team comes up with better ideas than one person

·         Must bring everyone on the same page

·         Everyone has to buy into the idea in order for it to truly be a team

·         Working together as a team to accomplish task; leaders emerge

·         It takes a “team” approach + trust in the individuals to make the team work

·         Communication; 1st instincts

·         Leadership; thinking out of the box; questioning ideas

·         You need to work together as a team to complete the project

·         In order to react quickly to situations, visions must be communicated.  Along with that, it has to be “bought” by all team members in order for people to work to a common goal

·         Every person has something to contribute to the company/team’s success

·         Staying focused to execute the concept in a short period of time

·         Unity

·         Multiple heads are better than one

·         Read the directions thoroughly before anything else; the need for clear leadership

·         The whole team is critical to success; everyone becomes a component

·         Listening to others & understanding their views

·         How important patience and listening is to coming up with an idea

·         First establishing a goal

·         Working on a core concept

·         To work together as a team

·         You must work together

·         It takes everyone’s input & talent to create a successful final project

·         Believing in what you are doing.  Putting structure in place to accomplish goals

·         With good leadership & a vision, a lot can be accomplished in short time and with limited resources

·         Communication to all departments can only provide quicker results

·         The visions of all employees is unlimited

·         Without teamwork nothing gets accomplished

·         Respecting the value each person brings to the team; patience & willingness to listen

·         Unity & need to define a common goal and action plan

·         Having a cooperative & cohesive agenda; we worked well as a team, but it could have turned out bad if someone had a different agenda or idea

·         Different ideas coming from so many individuals works well & it allowed people to come together well and pull off a great team vision & result

·         It works!

·         Rapid organization of work on the task

·         Everyone worked together to bring different ideas to the table with each associate’s expertise and experience

·         “Achieve it together” and it will be greater

·         Developing a concept that we could work towards

·         Having everyone buy into the concept so each sub group could do their function to contribute to the overall goal of the team
