Toronto Team Building

Amazing Race for Canada's 2008 Olympic Athletes

We were asked by Team Visa to develop an Amazing Race team building event for Canada's Olympic athletes in downtown Toronto.  Team Visa athletes were selected based on their sporting achievements and the work that they do to improve their community or their sport. All members of Team Visa were selected by the Team Visa Advisory Committee, consisting of sports media, representatives from Visa and the Canadian Olympic Committee, and Team Visa mentors. This was an astonishing and truly amazing team building program.

A couple of the athlete's comments about this Toronto event:

  •  " Great event - good way to end the day and get to know more about Toronto."
  • "STUPENDOUS!"
  • "Would do it again.  Learned a lot about Toronto.  More appreciation for Toronto."
  • "It was:  Exciting; Funny; Enjoyable - learned a lot about team building."

Team Building Reward Challenges in Toronto parks

CRG's challenge from Halton Housing & Support was to create a team building event in the Toronto area that could be held outdoors in connection with their annual staff team building picnic and BBQ.  We selected Coronation Park in the west end of Toronto.  We secretly invited a well-known local Toronto politician to participate in the judging - which surprised and delighted the staff.

At the end of the event, we asked participants for a few comments:

  • "Great day, great break from the routine, amazing location.
  • Very well organized. Liked the invited Councillor.
  • Very well done.
  • Relaxing.
  • Well done Pat!
  • It was fun and I felt more part of the team.
  • Excellent.
  • Good.
  • Is OK!
  • Good time.
  • Excellent - learned about skills of others.
  • Very enjoyable"
